The picture shows the Republican... if he lifted five times a week for over a decade.

Former congressmember Mike Rogers (R-MI) is running for Senate, and his supporters appear to be employing an unusual strategy: posting AI-generated pictures of him with huge muscles.
And he’s getting roundly mocked online for his alleged vanity.

GOP public relations consultant Abby Ronson kicked it off by posting a “happy birthday” message to Rogers on X, along with a picture of Rogers waving at voters. The picture showed Rogers with huge arms, lats, delts, and pecs, stretching his blue Oxford shirt, where even his nipples were visible as they pressed against the fabric.
“what the hell is this AI edited a** picture hahahaha,” one person responded, posting the non-AI version of the picture. In the original, Rogers’ arms are noticeably skinnier, his shoulders droopier, and his chest is invisible as his shirt stretches over his belly, pushing down on his belt buckle. His jeans also appear baggier.

The original picture is from a 2024 Detroit News article showing Rogers participating in the Milford, Michigan, Fourth of July parade, back when he was running against Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) for Senate.
People online mocked the attempt to make Rogers look like The Hulk. While some people attributed the doctored image to Rogers’ campaign, the campaign denied any connection to The Daily Beast: “Mike doesn’t need AI to frame-mog his opponents.”
